Presentation

Since 1997, Sailing Atlantic Services has been synonymous with reliability in preparing and fitting out new boats for the yachting profession. SAS has 2 bases, one on the Atlantic coast in Les Sables d'Olonne and one on the western coast of the Mediterranean in Canet-en-Roussillon. We have earned the confidence of the biggest boat builders (Jeanneau, Bénéteau, Lagoon etc.) and boat hire companies (The Moorings, Sunsail, Dream Yacht Charter).

Our past

1997
Jean-Christophe Bart, a former professional skipper, started to prepare new boats for the yachting profession in Port Olona in Les Sables d'Olonne. He quickly joined forces with Denis Fauvet, the then purchasing manager for boats and fittings for Stardust Marine. The two men formed an efficient, complementary twosome, continually adapting to the requirements of builders, their foreign agents, and charter companies. Over the years SAS has widened its range of services, adding to its skills by preparing new boats with turnkey solutions, and now offers to supply and install additional options. At the start the company employed 5 people, a number which has progressively expanded to today's workforce of more than 20 technicians and members of staff divided between the two sites.

These two teams have one sole aim: customer satisfaction.

2007
With this wealth of experience and know-how, SAS decided to invest in a building of 400 m² and 2,000 m² of grounds, still in Port Olona in Les Sables d'Olonne. These outstanding facilities meant the arrival of boats could be managed as perfectly as possible and have helped everyone optimise their work so as always to aim for the highest quality. The acquisition of a specially constructed trailer made SAS self-sufficient for launching catamarans and no longer dependent on the tide. The grounds allowed masts to be prepared and heavy equipment to be loaded on board the boats.

2008
Development continued this time on the Mediterranean, with the opening of a base in Canet-en-Roussillon, near Perpignan. This centre, led by Pascal Ouradou, meets the needs of customers wanting to have their boats prepared in the south of France.

2012
A parcel of land 1500m square was acquired to facilitate the growth of SAS Canet-en-Roussillon with the construction of a building of 200m square. We are now able to welcome our clients in the best conditions with facilities such as meeting rooms and storage areas.

2016
This year is dedicated to the redesign if the SAS website. This reworking includes a new customer portal with the ability to request a price quotation online. In addition to the commisionning, important individual items of expenditure such as transportation, antifouling and optional installations can be quoted separately, providing a flexible case by case quote for our customer's dealers wherever the boat is prepared (Atlantic or Mediterranean Coast).

2018
Even further in the continuing development of SAS Canet-en-Roussillon : an additional parcel pf land of 1200m square next to the original site was acquired for the construction of a new, large building of 800m square, enabling various types of boats (monohull and multihull) up to 90 feet (27meters) to be received for antifouling, covering, painting and refitting operations.

Our role

Our job is to undertake the last stage in the preparation of a yacht or pleasure craft. We can take charge as soon as it comes out of the factory. We will arrange to transport your boat by lorry to one of our bases where we will prepare it. Our teams are also trained to meet all your needs, such as the installation of additional options (generators, desalination units, air-conditioning, solar panels etc.), supplying and installing equipment (electronic equipment, safety material, galley fittings, comfort etc.) as well as all procedures required before final hand-over to her owner to make your boat ready to sail.
